I made a plan for 2026, and we’re basically halfway through the year. Between burnout and the 24-hour news cycle, it’s been tough. A part of me was nervous to jump right back into blogging, but I think it’s what can happen when you’re away for so long. Additionally, my laptop being broken has made it tougher.
I haven’t had much time to explore (while also unintentionally content hoarding). There’s so much I still need to share. I miss blogging. I miss exploring the DMV. I miss writing my weekly newsletter. And I started questioning whether this was still something that was meant for me to do. The more days passed, the more time I didn’t have for the things that bring me joy, the more I questioned my path.
This week, I’m taking some time to write and schedule out blog posts to help avoid gaps. I’m very passionate about this blog, and I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with new people. This journey will continue, and I feel a sense of renewal.
2026 feels like a time that people are looking for authenticity. They want to see more of the person behind the content and not just the content. I’m leaning more into that this year.
Thanks for sticking with me!
Sincerely,
Kelci
