There aren’t many restaurants that are open early and close late. The Capital Burger Reston is one that you should put on your list. This new Reston, Virginia location–connected to the Hyatt Regency Hotel Reston–serves breakfast unlike the Washington, D.C. location.
My fellow foodie, @nikki_foodventures on Instagram, invited me to their preview. We had an early morning (7 am) reservation. Yes, you read that correctly. This location opens at 6:30 am and closes at 2 am everyday!
Note: this meal was free. I was not asked to do a blog post or post on social media in exchange for anything. All opinions are genuine and have not been swayed.

WHAT I ORDERED
The preview menu highlighted some drinks such as La Colombe (coffee, espresso, latte, mocha, cappuccino); chocolate milk; grapefruit soda; and mint lemonade. The breakfast entrees available were the Ducktrap River Smoked Salmon; Chicken and Waffles; and the All American breakfast. I considered ordering mint lemonade because it sounds amazing, but I chose coffee to try to wake me up a bit. I ordered chicken and waffles with a side of bacon because who doesn’t love this dish? It’s a great, tasty way to start your day.

These chicken and waffles were amazing! The texture of the waffle was perfect. This particular maple syrup-spicy fried chicken combo was the best I’ve ever had. I was surprised that the chicken had a kick to it. This definitely took this classic dish up a notch. The whipped cream was a nice touch and had a great texture.
CONCLUSION
I’d absolutely go back to The Capital Burger’s Reston, VA location. It’s great, especially for travelers, that they open early and close late. It’s cool that this location is inside of a hotel. I wouldn’t mind staying at this hotel just to have this restaurant to go to.

Until next time.
