Tai Chi Bubble Tea

Who doesn’t love seeing that a new shop is opening in their area? I love keeping my eye out for things that are coming so I can share them with you. When I saw that Tai Chi Bubble Tea was opening in Columbia, MD, I couldn’t wait to visit.

Tai Chi Bubble Tea is a bubble tea shop with many locations on the East Coast of the U.S. Its goal is to provide a place for people to connect with their loved ones while enjoying delicious food and drinks. Based on my experience, I can say that it’s a great place for this. It’s an inviting space where you can sit and enjoy bubble tea by yourself or with people.

WHAT I ORDERED

Tai Chi Bubble Tea offers fruit tea, lemon tea, milk tea, smoothies, fruit crush drinks, yogurt drinks, hot drinks, and specialty drinks. Some flavors have both hot and iced versions on the menu. Boba toppings include classic pearls, lychee boba, herb jelly, and strawberry boba. You can also order your drinks without toppings. As for food, ramen and sushi menu items are available. It was hard to choose since there were so many fruit tea and milk tea flavors. Below are the drinks I tried during two different visits: Thai Iced Tea and the Taro Smoothie.

Thai Iced Tea

Thai Iced Tea is one of my go-to drinks when I try a new boba tea shop. Thai Iced Tea is a drink traditionally made with strongly-brewed black tea, spiced with ingredients such as star anise and cardamom. Then it is sweetened with sugar and sweetened condensed milk and poured over ice. I ordered the Thai Iced Tea with classic boba pearls.

The Thai Milk Tea was so good! I loved that the sweetness was just right. This refreshing drink is perfect for a warm, sunny day. I think the classic boba pearls were great for this drink.

Taro Smoothie

This was the second time I’d ever had a boba smoothie. It is a menu item that I always consider getting, but I just end up getting one of my usual flavors. The flavors include chocolate, banana, lychee, and matcha. I ordered the Taro Smoothie with regular sugar with classic boba pearls.

Flavor-wise, this smoothie was good. If you like taro, it tastes just like the classic taro flavor. I loved that I didn’t have to constantly mix this to smooth out the drink. This is my experience with many other blended drinks. I would order this drink again.

CONCLUSION

If you love a menu with variety, Tai Chi Bubble Tea is the place for you. I love that there are classic flavors and some that you may not see often like watermelon milk tea and kiwi fruit tea. This tea shop is a place I’ve visited with my family and had a great time. I continue to frequent Tai Chi Bubble Tea when I’m in Columbia, MD. It’s definitely a place to check out when you’re in the area.
