It’s great to be a regular at places, but there’s nothing like trying a new place (or new to you). I wanted to try something new after finishing a family reunion meeting and quickly looked for places nearby. I chose Java Loco since I wanted tea or coffee. Java Loco is a locally and Asian-owned chain in Northern Virginia.

WHAT I ORDERED

Java Loco offers sandwiches, coffee drinks, frappes, milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies, and other drinks. Pastries are also on the menu.

Rose Tea Latte

I love a good floral drink and will order it when I see it on any menu. You have the choice to add a shot of espresso for an extra cost.

I loved this Rose Tea Latte. It was refreshing and sweet. I kinda wish I added espresso for a little razzle-dazzle. I think it would’ve been an interesting combination. If you enjoy floral drinks, I think you’ll love this one.

Coffee Cake

I wanted something that would pair well with the Iced Rose Tea Latte. A coffee cake slice just made sense. It looked like it was a decent enough size to hold me over during the long drive home.

This was the best coffee cake I’ve ever had. I loved how fresh and soft it was. I wish I had ordered another slice to have for the next day. If you like coffee cake, you’ll enjoy this!

WRAP-UP

This cafe was cute. I loved the variety of items on the menu. It was cool that you could add espresso to any tea latte for an extra cost. The service was great and quick. This Java Loco location would be a great place to get tea with a friend or get some work done. The next time you’re in Alexandria, VA and want something quick, check out Java Loco!
